The consulate is the relay of the French administrations with our nationals who can thus maintain their links with the French administration and exercise their rights as citizens: civil status, issue of national identity cards and passports, national service, registration on electoral lists, voting for national elections, registration in the register of French nationals living outside France, etc.
The consulate has a role in the protection of our expatriate or transient fellow citizens: social assistance, school scholarships, assistance to French transients in difficulty, assistance to incarcerated French people, etc.
The consulate has a general role of information and animation of the French community ;
